Contemporary dance uses more flow and body movement, exploring momentum, floor space and, curves of the torso. Through a Limon technique based, with our Contemporay Dance Syllabus, students explore a wider movement vocabulary.
Dance is an enjoyable activity that is both fun and of value to a child’s healthy and active upbringing. Learning choreographed movement sequences expands children’s creative, cognitive and social skills, while the training builds fitness, flexibility, concentration and co-ordination.

Classical BalletBallet is introduced from 3 years of age in the Kinder Dance class. The Russian Vaganova method is systematically taught from the age of 5 years through to Senior Levels. The training is focused and disciplined, whilst creativity is being retained via improvisation, choreography and performing. Limber-PilatesThese classes are designed to build strength and increase flexibility - essential for dance and for a healthy body.Character DanceCharacter uses national dance styles from around the world such as Hungary, Poland and Russia. This type of dance strengthens dance technique whilst improving rhythm and co-ordination. Break Dance, Tap, Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz & Musical TheatreEnergetic dance styles often seen in music video clips and stage shows. Students dance to popular music and learn moves that pop stars do.Learn in just a few minutes rutines from the stars! Cerificate in Production Studies & Junior CompanyIn these courses, the students learn how to design costumes, props & sets, theatre make up, within a professional dance company environment, performing new works in our Midyear production.These courses are excellent VCE subjects. |
