MDT incorporates three major bodies:1. Sierra Dance Centrepointe part-time ballet school, affiliated with The Russian Academy of Ballet. This body offers casual ballet and dance classes for all ages from 4pm every evening Mon – Friday and Saturday during the day. SDC also offers VCE/VET Dance. 2. MDT School of Excellence – affiliated with The Russian Academy of Ballet. This is a full-time ballet course offered to gifted Secondary School students. Entry is by audition only. Students are training for a serious dance career and will complete a minimum of 25 hours per week during school hours incorporating academic studies and ballet studies as their full- time education. 3. MDT Company – a contemporary dance company comprising of experienced professional dancers. This company performs around Melbourne and Internationally. MDT Company also produces a full classical ballet once a year, MDT students are given the opportunity to audition to be included in the ballet cast.
