Melbourne Dance Theatre Full-Time Course, is both an exciting and challenging dance program offering training of the highest standard. With over 39 contact hours per week, the training is very intensive, a wonderful preparation ground for a career as a professional dancer. The course offers a very strong foundation in Classical Ballet, based on the Vaganova training methodology, contemporary and a myriad of more commercial dance styles. For we strongly believe that dance is an increasingly versatile art form, and dynamic companies around the globe are requiring dancers with a broad spectrum of skills.

The greatest strength of our full time course, however, lies in it's close association with Melbourne Dance Theatre, our professional dance company. Students of the course both rehearse and perform alongside company members, offering both a close insight into the professional dance world, and the experience of frequent performing and regional touring.

The Melbourne Dance Theatre Full-Time Course is an endorsed provider of Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). This means that overseas students are able to study in Australia. Currently we have students from Taiwan, Portugal and applications from Mexico and Germany.
